Groundnut oil eased further by Rs 2 at Rs 352 per 10 kg, while most other edible oils ruled easy-to-steady at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market here yesterday.
In other oils, cottonseed washed and refined qualities declined by Rs 2 each to Rs 251 and Rs 253 per 10 kg, respectively. Karanji and soya refined eased by Rs 2 each to Rs 180 and Rs 233 per 10 kg, respectively.
Mowra declined by Rs 5 to Rs 230 per 10 kg, while imported palm olein dipped by Rs 5 at Rs 191 per 10 kg.

In the futures market, the September contract opened Rs 4 lower at Rs 1,786 a quintal and dipped a notch to close at Rs 1,785 a quintal.
Castor oil international contracts -- August '99, October '99 and December '99 opened Re 1 up each to Rs 396, Rs 402 and Rs 359 per 10 kg, respectively.
In oilseeds, kardiseeds firmed up by Rs 50 at Rs 1,400 per
quintal.
Sugar: A firm trend was noticed in sugar prices on modest offtake. Both the grades ruled slightly
firm.
Sugar small (S-30) increased to Rs 1,420/1,450 a quintal against the previous level of Rs 1,420/1,445 a quintal.
Sugar medium (M-30) inched up to Rs 1,450/1,505 a quintal from the previous day's close of Rs 1,440/1,490 a quintal.
Meanwhile, sugar for the check-post deliveries were quoted lower at Rs 1,400/1,410 a quintal for S-30 and Rs 1,415/1,460 a quintal for M-30.
Non-ferrous metals: An easy-to-steady trend was noticed in local non-ferrous metals yesterday. Metals of both the sections ruled subdued-to-steady.
In scraps, copper heavy and copper utensils declined by 50 paise each to Rs 101.50 and Rs 89 a kg, respectively, while brass utensils and brass sheetcuttings eased by 25 paise each to Rs 77.75 and Rs 84.75 a kg respectively.
Meanwhile, aluminium utensils ruled overall steady and
were nominally quoted at Rs 64.50 a kg.
In virgins, copper wirebar weakened by 50 paise at Rs 113.50 a kg. Meanwhile, all other metals were quoted as under: aluminium ingots Rs 84.50, zinc slabs Rs 81, lead ingots Rs 41, tin slabs Rs 375 and nickel cathodes Rs 340 a kg.
Bullion: A firm trend continued in precious metals in the local bullion market yesterday. Both the precious metals ruled firm-to-upward.
Silver .999 and .916 improved further by Rs 115 and Rs 110 to Rs 8,250 and Rs 8,090 a kg, respectively, on firm overseas advices, better industrial demand and limited arrivals from the
