But the dust variety saw fair demand. Clean well made and good liqouring Assams sold between Rs 90 and Rs 100 with selected best sorts realising higher prices. At sale 20, all varieties saw good demand. All sorts of CTC, offered in 25,292 packages to the tune of 8.64 lakh kg, were fully firm to dearer.

As for the Darjeeling tea, whole leaf grades saw interest from traditional exporters and sold in line with quality with selected better lines selling well.
The orthodox saw good demand. Clean well-made whole leaf as well as tippy varieties continued to sell well. Prices, however, were a little irregular and sometimes lower compared to sale 19 levels.
Larger brokens sold readily at slightly easier levels. Smaller brokens witnessed less enquiry and levels often declined by up to Rs 5. Fannings were largely outlisted except few better liqouring sorts.
