This service enables a customer to have a consolidated view of all accounts and other relationships with the ICICI group at one place. Customers can enter into online transactions such as banking services, credit cards, loans, demat and bond accounts from the site.
The portal also provides information on investment products like mutual funds and initial public offerings (IPOs). The portal also gives customised investment advice to the end user, whether be a registered user or a customer, on the basis of the user's age or income.
Apart from allowing users and customers to transact online real time, it will help the user to formulate his or her tax plans, asset relocation and insurance. Along with news as per requests of the user, it will also send e-mail alerts as specified for stock quotes or investment maturities.
ICICI as part of its IT strategy also plans to increase its customer base by leveraging the broadband by adapting content and presentation to suit different devices like cable television and by entering into alliances with key players. In addition to this, it aims at providing virtual banking experiences through interactive and video technologies.
Lalita Gupte, deputy managing director, ICICI in her presentation, said, "This portal is just another extension of ICICI's IT strategy. We have been leveraging the Internet to gather a retail base of customers since the reach of the Internet is so vast."
"The request was enormous that we put all our products under one roof. It is from this suggestion that this portal has taken shape," she said.
