India will send an official delegation to the international meet on climatic changes to be held in Buenos Aires from November 2 to 13.
The agenda of the meeting is crucial for India and other developing countries, as the conference is expected to discuss the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Though there is general concern over global warming, the industrialised world and the developing world disagree over their contribution to the effort to bring down green house gas emissions.

The official delegation will be led by Union minister for environment and forests Suresh P Prabhu. Environment secretary Vishwanath Anand and senior joint secretary Vijay Sharma are also in the delegation.
The Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), a Delhi-based non-government organisation, also plans to send a delegation led by its director Anil Agarwal. At the Kyoto meet in December last year, industrialised countries had agreed to cut their aggregate emission to 5 per cent below 1990 levels by 2012.
