The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) expects to part-commission its new Panipat refinery in Haryana by May 9, a company official said yesterday. "The refinery's primary units are expected to be commissioned between May 7 and May 9, and the secondary units in November," an IOC official, who asked not to be identified, told Reuters. The six-million tonne refinery was due to be fully commissioned in July 1997 but was delayed due to late supplies of engineering equipment and components. (Reuters)
