According to sources, the Intelligence Bureau is also preparing another government bungalow as a high security prison, in case courts insisted Rao should not be lodged in his residence.
Sources further said proper arrangements are also being made at the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to meet any eventuality of Rao falling ill in the coming days.
Agencies quoted Indrajit Gupta as saying in Varanasi yeterday that the government had not taken any decision on where Rao should be lodged in case of his arrest.
Gupta told newsmen that the concerned court would give instructions in this matter, keeping in view of Rao's security needs and health.
He said it was not mandatory to lodge every accused in a particular jail as any place could be converted into a temporary prison.
