The Indian men's hockey team clawed its way back, albeit partially, with a 2:1 win over Argentina at the 2016 Rio Olympics on Tuesday.
Chinglensana Singh put India ahead in the 8th minute, and were ahaed by a solitary goal at the end of the second quarter. The team then consolidated its position with a second goal, when Kothajit Singh scored off his stick.
The Indians, who had suffered a 2:1 loss to Germany on Monday after the winning team went ahead in the dying moments of the game, yielded a solitary goal with about 11 minutes to the whistle.
India now face Canada in the next game.
