NSE REPORT
The wholesale debt market at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) witnessed trades worth Rs 164.74 crore, to which the corporate debentures segment of the bourse contributed Rs 78.68 lakh.
The treasury bills segment accounted to trades worth Rs 38 crore despite call rates ruling in the region of nine to 11 per cent.

The 10.85 per cent government loan maturing in 2001 was in demand showing a traded volume of Rs 30 crore. The paper was traded at a weighted yield of 10.58 per cent. It touched a high of Rs 100.75 and closed at a low of Rs 100.70.
The zero per cent government loan maturing in 1999 witnessed a volume of Rs 20 crore and was traded at the weighted yield of 8.96 per cent.
The 364-days treasury bills maturing in August 15, 1998, witnessed a volume of Rs 15 crore at the weighted yield of 8.16 per cent.
In the corporate debentures segment, the zero per cent Reliance Petro PPD, the 16 per cent MRPL 2002 and the 16 per cent Essar Shipping 2001 were in demand.
There were 545 trades recorded in the corporate debenture segment and 34 trades in the government securities segment.
