The capital-based Surya Hotel, after having ended its franchisee agreement with Bestwestern, has signed a two-year representation contract with Utell International.
Utell International, an international hotel marketing and reservations company, is part of REZsolutions, a joint venture and US-based Anasazi Inc based in Arizona and Utell International.
Utell International will provide The Surya Delhi with international sales and marketing and reservation services through its global network of 52 countries.

According to Siddhartha Sattanathan, Utell International's country manager in India, "We are confident that we will be able to provide the most cost effective solution for independent hotels like The Surya who wish to reach out through our global presence to bookers around the world."
Contacted by Business Standard, The Surya's official spokesperson confirmed the tie-up with Utell International for marketing, sales and reservation. The agreement is effective from June 1, 1999.
But the Surya spokesperson refused to reveal whether the hotel is negotiating with some other international hotel chain for a franchisee/management contract.
