The dispute between Suzuki Motor Company and the government over the appointment of R S S L N Bhaskarudu as Maruti Udyog managing director could take as much as eleven months to be settled, ICCs International Court of Arbitration chairman Robert Briner said yesterday.
On the appointment of a third member as chairman of the Marut tribunal, Briner said the two parties can suggest a name based on consensus failing which ICA will designate a member from its national committee.
The third member can be selected by consensus, Briner said. But, it is unlikely that he will be from any of the countries represented by the parties or the first two arbitrators if the appointment is made by ICA.
