Disclosing this at a news conference here this afternoon, Union minister of state for power S Venugopalachary said the World Bank, the Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and other financial agencies were willing to extend assistance to the states which plan to take up restructuring of the their electricity boards.
The minister said that so far only Orissa has come forward with specific proposals towards restructuring its electricity board. The state proposes to split its board into four autonomous corporations.
