Bangladesh, India and Pakistan will hold a summit meeting here in November for deliberating joint initiatives on trade and investment, foreign ministry sources said here yesterday.
Bangladeshs minister of state for foreign affairs Abul Hasan Chowdhury said India and Pakistan were invited for the proposed meeting by Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during her bilateral talks with Indian Prime Minister I K Gujral and Pakistan premier Nawaz Sharif at the recent Saarc summit in Maldives. The focus of the meeting will be on trade and investment if such a meeting takes place, Chowdhury said.
Because of our good relations with Delhi and Islamabad, we are in a position to bring them together, Chowdhury was quoted as saying .

Incidentally, Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Bhutan have proposed formation of a four-nation sub-group which is opposed by Pakistan who claims it would help India to impose its hegemony in South Asia.
