The Wholesale Debt Market at the National Stock Exchange saw active trade in the newly issued 11.50 per cent government loan maturing on 2004 as many traders offloaded the stock at discount.
The day witnessed active trading with 83 trades being reported yesterday, contributing to a volume of Rs 573.93 crore.

The treasury bill segment too saw hectic trade with volumes touching Rs 45 crore.
The newly issued 2004 11.50 per cent government stock saw 22 trades and recorded a volume of Rs 116 crore. The paper was traded at a low of Rs 99.75, closed at Rs 99.81 and traded at the weighted average yield of 11.51 per cent.
The 91 days treasury bill maturing on August 1, 1998, saw a bulk deal aggregating to Rs 30 crore. The paper was dealt at Rs 98.39 and at the yield of 7.3 per cent.
The 14-day treasury bill maturing on May 23, 1998 was traded for Rs 10 crore at an yield of 6 per cent.
The 11.75 per cent government loan maturing on 2006 saw an aggregate volume of Rs 110 crore and was traded at the weighted average yield of 11.78 per cent.
The 14.75 per cent bonds of IDBI were traded for Rs 5 crore at the weighted average yield of 13.30 per cent.
