The wholesale debt market (WDM) at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) witnessed a dull trading session with only 36 trades being reported and showing a volume of Rs 169.83 crore yesterday.
Of this, the treasury bills segment contributed a volume of Rs 85.5 crore and a repo trade worth Rs 15 crore was concluded for a term of four days at 9.25 per cent.The corporate debenture segment saw 526 trades and a volume of Rs 1.76 crore.

Due to the new list issued by the RBI on the open market operations, the yields on government securities have dropped significantly over the last two trading days, said a broker.
The 11 per cent government loan maturing in 2002 was traded for Rs 20 crore at a weighted average yield of 11.99 per cent.
The treasury bill maturing on April 24 was traded for Rs 55 crore at the weighted average yield of 11.63 per cent at price ranging from Rs 98.55-98.58.
The certificate of deposit of Bank of America saw two trades for Rs 7 crore at the weighted yield of 14.20 per cent and a price of Rs 98.31.
The 15.75 per cent bonds of IDBI was traded for Rs 5 crore at the weighted average yield of 14.35 per cent.
