The turnover on the Calcutta Stock Exchange dipped from Rs 386.45 crore on Friday to Rs 367.19 crore yesterday. The volume of shares traded fell from 1.3 crore on Friday to 1.25 crore on Monday.
The CSE-50 index moved down from 107.39 on Friday to 106.79, losing 0.60 points. The number of active users went up to 426 from 425 on Friday. Out of 3,806 scrips on C-STAR, only 185 scrips were traded and the number of trades executed was 20,917.
The top 5 scrips were SBI, ITC, Reliance Industries, Tisco and ACC with turnovers of Rs 176.01 crore, Rs 83.81 crore, Rs 53.39 crore, Rs 27.43 crore and Rs 19.18 crore respectively.

The top five gainers in the specified list were Eveready Industries, Shaw Wallace, Bata India, Indian Rayon and Steel Authority of India, with percentage changes of 6, 3.74, 2.97, 2.13 and 1.84 respectively.
