The wholesale debt market at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) clocked a trading volume of Rs 331 crore of which the treasury bills contributed to a volume of Rs 22 crore and no repo deals were concluded yesterday.
The corporate debentures segment saw active trading and registered 624 trades recording a volume of Rs 1.98 crore.

The 10.85 per cent government bond maturing in 2001 was in demand showing 16 trades of the total 54 trades done during the day.
The paper was traded for Rs 90 crore at a weighted average yield of 10.45 per cent.
It was traded for a low of Rs 101.02, touched the high of Rs 101.25 before closing at Rs 101.07. The 11 per cent government bonds maturing in 2002 was traded for Rs 40 crore at a weighted average yield of 10.64 per cent.
The paper was traded for a high of Rs 101.25 and closed at a low of Rs 101.17.
The 16 per cent IFCI bond saw three trades for Rs 7 crore at a weighted average yield of 13.44 per cent at the price of Rs 109.70. In the corporate debentures segment, a bulk trade was done for the 18 per cent SPIC bond maturing in 1998 for Rs one crore, at the price of Rs 107.04 and yield of 13.80 per cent.
