The wholesale debt market in the National Stock Exchange (NSE) has registered a total turnover of Rs 510.47 crore yesterday. Corporate debentures contributed Rs 60.28 lakh to the total volume. The inter-bank call rate remained in the range of 7.50-8 per cent for the day.
The 12.59 per cent gilt maturing in 2004 was traded for Rs 110 crore at a weighted yield of 11.38 per cent. The newly auctioned 10.85 per cent security maturing in 2001 recorded trades worth Rs 120 crore at an yield of 10.63 per cent.

The securitised debt of People Financial Services Ltd maturing in 1999 was traded at 14.09 per cent. The 11.83 per cent paper maturing in 2003 was also traded for Rs 50 crore at an yield of 11.20 per cent. The 91-days treasury bills maturing on October 25, 1997, was purchased at 6.60 per cent.
In the corporate debenture segment, the zero per cent Reliance Petro PPD met 358 trades worth Rs 44.21 lakh at an yield of 18.11 per cent.
The 12.50 per cent Reliance H -2002 counter witnessed 26 trades worth Rs 8.51 lakh, while the Tisco SPN 1999 was traded marginally for Rs 1.83 lakh at an yield of 14.83 per cent.
