NSE REPORT
After two days of hectic trading, the wholesale debt market at the National Stock Exchange (NSE)saw a considerable dip in trading volumes. While debt market accounted for trades worth Rs 468.75 crore, corporate debentures saw trades worth Rs 103.84 lakh.
Dealers attributed the fall in trading activity to the end of the fortnight.

The 10.85 per cent 2001 government loan continued to elicit maximum interest accounting for 14 trades, volume of Rs 100 crore, at the weighted yield of 10.58 per cent.
The paper was traded at a low of Rs 100.7, high of Rs 100.8 and closed at Rs 100.76. The 11.15 per cent 2002 government loan saw 8 trades accounting to Rs 45 crore, at the weighted yield of 10.84 per cent. The paper was traded at a low of Rs 101.08, high of Rs 101.25 and closed at Rs 101.25 for the day.
The 11.83 per cent government loan maturing in 2003 was traded for Rs 30 crore with 5 trades, at the weighted yield of 10.96 per cent. It was traded at the low of 103.45, high of Rs 103.65 and closed at Rs 103.65 for the day.
The 364 day treasury bill maturing on April 24, 1998, traded for Rs 10 crore at a weighted yield of eight per cent.
