The wholesale debt market segment (WDM) of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) saw trades worth Rs 353.30 crore yesterday. This was substantially higher compared with the Rs 141.78 crore that was notched up on Tuesday. Debentures were traded for Rs 3.40 lakh compared with Rs 141.78 lakh on the previous day.
There were six repos trades for a total value of Rs 115 crore. The 14 day repos were traded at a rate of 9.70-9.75 per cent. The 11.55 per cent government loan maturing in 2001 was traded for Rs 75 crore at a weighted yield of 11.5 per cent. It saw a total of 10 trades with a low price of Rs 100.01 and a high of Rs 100.04.

The 11.25 per cent government floating rate bond maturing in 1999 was traded for Rs 35 crore at a weighted yield of 10.62 per cent. It saw two trades at a price of Rs 102.30.
The 10.5 per cent tax-free bond of Hudco maturing in 2004 was traded for Rs 5 crore at an yield of 10.37 per cent.
Six repos trades worth Rs 115 crore were transacted at rates of 9.70 per cent to 9.75 per cent for 14 days.
