It was a great game of cricket for a total of 147 to be defended. Pakistan's fast bowlers were strong at the start of the innings and their spinners did well too in the middle overs with Shadab going for only 19 runs in his four overs. However, Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya dug deep after a good-looking 35 from Virat Kohli. Jadeja did get out for 35 off 29 balls eventually, Pandya saw the team through with his 33* off just 17 balls. 

For Pakistan, Mohammad Nawaz picked three wickets while debutant Naseem Shah picked two. 

Earlier in the evening, India bowled well to restrict Pakistan to only 147. This was also achieved after some lusty blows from Shahnawaz Dahani and Haris Rauf. Mohammad Rizwan top scored for Pakistan with 43 off 42 balls. Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked 4-26 while Pandya finished with 3-24 in his four overs.
