Spain vs Costa Rica: Spain registers biggest win in World Cup history

The Spanish team full of young heavyweights pulled in their biggest victory in World Cup history as they thrashed Costa Rica 7-0 at the Al Thumama Stadium in Qatar. They broke the record of the previous biggest win by a Spanish team in the World Cup, which was achieved in 1998 when Spain beat Bulgaria 6-1. 

Costa Rica, on the other hand, equalled a record of which they would not be proud at all as their 0-7 loss mirrored a similar scoreline that their national team had achieved in the 1986 World Cup against hosts Mexico in Mexico City. 

Dani Almo, Marco Asensio, Gavi, Alvaro Morata and Carlos Soler scored a goal each while Ferran Torres scored a brace. 

Germany vs Japan: Ble Samurais shock the Germans

It was one of the most brilliant games that have been played in the Fifa World Cup 2022 so far as Japan overcame a first-half lead against an all-start German team and scored in the 75th and 83rd minutes through their substitutes Ritsu Doan and Takuma Asano to win the game. 

Earlier in the first half, Germany dominated with almost 80% possession and a goal courtesy of a spot kick. It was scored by Gundaogan

Croatia vs Morocco: A goalless draw

In the game earlier today, Croatia, the runner up from the last World Cup played a draw against Morocco. The Luka Modric lead team was not able to break the Moroccan defence and thus the 90 minutes were not enough to eke out a result
