"He reminds me of myself," said the legendary Sir Viv Richards praising Indian skipper Virat Kohli who turns 30 today.

Indian cricket was going as usual with some highs and lows but then Virat Kohli happened and it all changed after that.

While it was Dhoni who was at his prime, Kohli carved a niche for himself and quickly rose through the ranks, ending up as the captain of the team with an illustrious career to his name and many milestones ahead of him.
It was Under-19 World Cup at Kuala Lumpur in early 2008, Virat Kohli-led Indian side won the U-19 World Cup and a new star, who would go on to lead the Indian cricket team in years to come, announced his arrival.
Virat Kohli made his ODI debut on Aug 18, 2008, and there was no looking back for the modern master blaster.
Although it wasn't a smooth sail, especially during his initial years as the Indian side was already filled with star names, including legendary Sachin Tendulkar.
10 years on, the same player has achieved so much that he has already become one of the greatest players cricket has ever seen and surpassed even his icon and god of cricket --Tendulkar on several records.
