It was a run-fest at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara, Guwahati as South Africa scored 221-3 chasing 238 and lost the game by just 16 runs. David Miller hit a terrific 46-ball 100 while Quinton de Kock scored 69 off 48 balls to push the South African innings which was languishing at 47-3 in the seventh over. 

Earlier in the evening, India, riding on the back of some brilliant innings by Rohit Sharma (43), KL Rahul (57), Virat Kohli (49) and Suryakumar Yadav (62 off just 22 balls), scored 237-3 in their 20 overs, the most runs scored against South Africa in T20Is history. 

Courtesy of this win, India have now taken an unassailable 2-0 lead and for the first time ever, won a home T20I series against South Africa.

South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma won the toss and opted to bowl first at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara, Guwahati. Indian captain Rohit Sharma also said that he would have liked to bowl first. The Indian team is without any changes, while South Africa have played paceman Lungi Ngidi in place of spinner Tabraiz Shamsi.
