South Africa saved themselves from getting whitewashed as Rilee Rossouw's maiden T20I hundred took them 227 and the bowlers did well to defend it and win by 49 runs. The Indian team in its chase could sustain the wicket although they went all out with the run rate.
Dinesh Karthik top-scored 46 off just 21 balls. Later on Deepak Chahar and other tail-enders with their slog hitting managed to get India to 178 in 18.3 overs.
Earlier in the evening, it was the best knock ever from Rilee Rossouw in which he hit his maiden T20I hundred that took South Africa to 227/3 in 20 overs.

There was no doubt in the fact that if South Africa won, Rilee Rossouw was going to be the Player of the Match. He hit 100* off just 48 balls with the help of seven fours and eight sixes. This knock came after having scoured two ducks in the last two games of the series.
Suryakumar Yadav is Player of the Series
Though he could not flourish tonight, Suryakumar Yadav showed in this series, as well as in the last one against Australia that he is very much ready for the big stage and could be India’s most poignant spike in the wheel that can make them succeed in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
In this series, Surya made 119 runs in three innings at an average of 59.5 and a strike rate of 195.08, which was only second to that of David Miller in the entire series.
