India missed the chance to whitewash the One-Day International (ODI) series against Sri Lanka as the hosts managed to clinch a victory in the third ODI at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo today.
India had won the toss and decided to bat first, handing the caps to Sanju Samson, Nitish Rana, Chetan Sakariya, K Gowtham, and Rahul Chahar.
The visitors managed to put 225 runs batting first, which Sri Lanka managed to chase in 38.5 overs on the back of Avishka Fernando's 76 off 98 and Minod Bhanuka's 65 off 56 balls.
