Pooja Vastrakar, who played the counter-attacking innings of 67 off just 59 balls and was injured during that and couldn't get to bowl because of it, was still adjudged the Player of the Match for her game-changing innings. 
 
In the interview, she said that the physio has assured her that she would be able to play in India's next game which is on March 10th against West Indies. 
 
Sneh Rana, her partner in crime also picked up two wickets in her nine overs apart from scoring 53*, but still, it was Pooja who was adjudged as the Player of the Match.

Earlier in the day, India registered the most brilliant recovery that there could ever be as it came back almost from the dead of 114-6 in the 34th over to eventually finish at 244/7. It was the 122 run stand, that came of just 96 balls between Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar that saved the team. While Pooja top-scored with 67 off 59 balls, Sneh made 53*. 
 
Smriti Mandhana also scored 52 while Nida Dar and Nashra Sandhu picked two wickets each for Pakistan.

Chasing 245, the Pakistan innings never got going and eventually ended at a paltry 137 in the 43rd over. Sidra Amin was the highest scorer for the Pakistani side with 30 off 64 balls. For India Gayakwad finished with figures of 4-31in her 10 overs spell. Apart from her, Jhulan Goswami and Rana picked two wickets each while Deepti and Sharma and Meghna Singh got one wicket each.

Pooja Vastrakar (67 off 59) and Sneh Rana (53*)were the heroes with the bat for the Indian side while Rajeshwari Gayakwad shone with the ball, picking four wickets for 31 runs in her 10 overs.

And that's it. India register the victory here as Meghna SIngh gets a wicket. It was the last ball of the 43rd over and Diana Baig tried to clear the boundary many times in the over. Couldn't get the connection on the first five, but on the last ball, she connected, but without much timing and thus managed to get it to only as far as Harmanpreet Kaur at long-on who caught it well and won removed the last Pakistan batter. Baig scored 24.

And the last Pakistani pair continues to frustrate the Indians as well as the audiences here as they have now added 18 for the last wicket and more importantly they have played some interesting shots here
 
Just so you know that Richa Ghosh is the first wicket-keeper in the Women's World Cup history to register five dismissals on debut. What an effort from the Indian youngster. 
 
Diana Baig has now scored 24 runs and is the second-highest scorer in the Pakistan innings now
