Batting first, India put up 324/4 in 50 overs with Rohit Sharma contributing 87 runs, Shikhar Dhawan 66 runs.
There were significant contributions from captain Virat Kohli (43), Ambati Rayudu (47) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (48 not out).
In India's reply, New Zealand were all out for 234 runs in 40.2 overs.
New Zealand had a bad start as Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami got rid of Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson early.
Kuldeep shined with four wickets in his kitty in his 10 overs.
Wrist spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal continued to torment New Zealand batsmen after a collective batting effort.
India now lead the five-match series 2-0.

A run glut followed before Kuldeep wrapped up the New Zealand innings with a four-wicket burst. First, he had Tom Latham (34) trapped leg before in the 25th over and then had Colin de Grandhomme (3) two overs later to reduce New Zealand to 146 for 6.
Kuldeep, however, missed his 5-wicket haul. Chahal scalped the last man and India walked off with another win and an extended lead in the 5-match series
