Ind vs SA 3rd T20 highlights: de Kock guides Proteas to victory by 9 wckts

India managed to put a paltry 134/9 in 20 overs. Quinton de Kock continued the top form with a fifty and took South Africa easily towards victory.

Quinton de Kock-led South Africa cricket team defeated India cricket team by 9 wickets in the third T20 International at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bemgaluru today. Both the sides level the 3-match T20I series 1-1 with one match resulting in a washout.

India were stopped at 134 for nine by a disciplined South African attack, which snuffed out eight wickets for 71 runs after initially being at the receiving end in the third T20 International here on Sunday.

Batting first owing to Virat Kohli's bold decision on one of the smallest grounds known to favour the chasing teams, India were cruising at 54 for one after dominating the first six Powerplay overs. The departure of Shikhar Dhawan (25-ball 36) gave the South Africans an opening, and they grabbed it with both hands.

Kagiso Rabada was expensive but picked up three wickets, while there were two apiece for Bjorn Fortuin (2/19 in 3 overs) and Beuran Hendricks (2/14), who choked the run-flow after the whirlwind start. Such was their dominance that no India batsman save Dhawan crossed the 20-run mark.

Playing in his first game of the series, left-arm seamer Hendricks was easily the team's best bowler without a doubt.

Rohit Sharma got out earlyt that brought crowd favourite Kohli in the middle. Dhawan and Kohli did launch fireworks in the middle but Kohli was caught soon. Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant threw away their wickets within a space of two balls, leaving India in trouble at 92 for five in the 13th over.

South Africa was not in a hurry as Reeza Hendricks and Quinton de Kock took their time to march froward. The only breakthrough for India came when Hardik came to bowl, after that, de Kock and Bavuma eased past the bowlers with the skipper attacking with his pull shots, resulting in boundaries and sixes.

The victtory would be a booster for South Africa as the team looked out of place and had worst start possible early into the match.
