India demolished the hapless caribbean side today by 224 runs and lead the series 5-ODIs series 2-1.
Rohit Sharma yet again played a long innings, smashing 162 runs and he enjoyed the company of Ambati Rayudu, the promising number four for India who also made century today.
Rohit scored his 21 ODI century while Rayudu scored his third.
India had to face a fresh West Indies team today after the young Caribbean side defeated the hosts in the last match and levlelled series 1-1, every score looked achievable hence India started the assault early but Dhawan and Kohli departed on quick succession.
Rohit did not waste time and started building the innings while Rayudu held one post. The both not just rescued India, but took the score to the level where India did not have to worry much.
Rohit's rampage was halted by Nurse but Rayudu continued and Dhoni was on the other end, India ended by scoring a massive total of 377 runs.
West Indies looked in the same form in the first 2-3 overs but Bhuvneshwar Kumar tasted first blood as he dismissed Hemraj, Hope and Powell were run out when Windies were on 20 runs.
After this, it was Khaleel who did the strike, removing dangerous Hetmyer first and then Rovman Powell in his next over and then Marlon Samuels in his third over, by this time more then half the team was back into the pavilion and soon, Fabian Allen to was sent back by Kuldeep.
Next it was Nurse when the team had just crossed 100-run mark. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja too found a wicket as Keemo Paul was stumped by Dhoni.
West Indies captain Jason Holder, however, kept batting till the end and he was not out for 54 runs, he was just delaying the inevitable.
The match did crawled further and the host were looking for the last wicket, they did sweat it out to remove the last three batsmen but all's well that ends well.
Kemar Roach's wicket off Kuldeep Yadav's delivery was the final nail in the coffin and it was one of the biggest wins for India.
Overall, India's bowling shined particularly Khaleel Ahmed (13/3) who compelled Widnies to surrender to his pace. Kuldeep who also picked 3 wickets, kept Widnies on their toes throughout.
All eyes would be on Trivandrum ODI on Thursday. It remains to be seen if West Indies would again be able to make a come back, or it would be India with another stupendous series win.
