Mighty India defeated a feeble West Indies in the 5th One-Day International and clinched the 5-macth series 3-1.
Batting first, West Indies could only manage 104 runs as Indian bowlers charged right fromm the start. India took just 14.5 overs to reach the target, courtesy an unbeaten 99-run stand between Rohit Sharma (62 off 54) and captain Virat Kohli (33 off 29).
West Indies captain Jason Holder won the toss and decided to bat first, it was the only thing that went in his team's favour today rest, it was all India-dominated show, first with the ball and then with the bat.
Indian bowlers wreaked havoc right from the start, Bhuvneshwar Kumar drew first blood and then it was a full assault by the other bowlers who wiped off West Indies before they could find any balance.
The bowlers laid the foundation and the batsmen wasted no time in chasing the target.
Rohit Sharma continued his fine form, brough up a half-century, went past the 1,000-run mark for the calendar year 2018 and also hit his 200th six in ODIs.
Rohit got a lifeline when he was on 18 as he was caught by Hope but it was a no-ball by Oshane Thomas. He used the opportunity in wrapping the match early with his 37th ODI fifty, including five boundaries and as many sixes.
Kohli got a lifeline too when he was dropped by Jason Holder, he ended up hitting unbeaten 33 runs.
Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja picked 4 wickets today, the maximum for India, while Bumrah and Khaleel Ahmed picke 2 wickets each.
Jadeja was also adjudged Man of the match for his brilliant bowling figure (9.5-1-34-4). Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav scalped a wicket each.
Jason Holder scored 25 runs, maximum from his side.
Earlier, the West Indies were in trouble right from the start after Kieran Powell was caught behind by M S Dhoni for a duck off Bhuvneshwar's fourth ball of the very first over.
Shai Hope, who has been a nightmare for Indian bowlers along with Shimron Hetmyer, was dismissed by Bumrah in the second over. Windies were 2/2 at that point. The dangerous Hetmyer became Jadeja's target.
Marlon Samuels, second highest scorer for Windies, showed some spirit but he was trapped in Jadeja's web on 24.
India had a low-score to chase but the inning received a setback as Dhawan departed early off Thomas' delivery.
After that, it was just a one-sided event as Rohit and Kohli took the team to victory.
This is India's sixth successive series win at home. India last lost a series at home in 2015, when they went down 2-3 against South Africa.
It was a complete surrender from the West Indies, who let themselves down after competing hard in the first three ODIs. The previous game at Mumbai too was dominated by the hosts as they won by a massive 224-run margin.
