It has been raining runs in the VIVO Indian Premier League 2019 (IPL 2019) season, at least for some batsmen. While David Warner of Sunrisers Hyderabad has been a highlight of the leaderboard of top batsmen in contention for the coveted Orange Cap, Delhi Capitals’ Kasigo Rabada holds the same reputation among those in race for the Purple Cap.
 

Top IPL 2019 batsmen

David Warner: Playing another season for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Warner has been slaying with his bat, having scored 692 runs, with a century and seven fifties in the 12 matches played so far at an average of 69.20 and a strike rate of 143.86.
 
K L Rahul: Behind Warner is his Kings XI Punjab opener K L Rahul, who has scored 522 runs in 13 games with a century and five fifties.

Andre Russell: Kolkata Knight Riders firepower Andre Russell is at the third spot with 510 runs in 13 matches that includes four fifties. Russell's average is 63.75 and strike rate is 205.64.
 
Quinton de Kock: At number four is Another southpaw in the list is Mumbai Indians' Quinton de Kock who has scored 462 runs from 13 matches that includes four fifties.

Chris Gayle: The Kings XI Punjab opener has plaxyed 13 mathes and amassed 490 runs with the best score of unbeaten 99. Gayle has scored four fifties adn his strike rate is 153.60.


 
Top IPL 2019 bowlers

Kasigo Rabada: In the battle for the Purple Cap, Kagiso Rabada has been a nightmare for batsmen throughout this season. The left-handed pacer has 25 wickets to his name in 12 matches at an average of 14.72 and an economy rate of 7.82. The bowler has had two four-wicket hauls.
 
Imran Tahir: At number two is Imran Tahir of Chennai Super Kings with 21 wickets in 13 matches with an economy rate of 6.30. Tahir has had one 4-wicket haul this season.
 
Shreyas Gopal: The clever spinner from Rajasthan Royals has grabbed 18 wickets so far from 13 matches with the average of 18.11 and economy of 7.40 that also includes a hat-trick. Gopal is at number three in the leaderboard.

Mohammad Shami: The Kings XI Punjab pacer is at fourth number with 19 wickets to his name at an average of 24.68.

Yuzvendra Chahal: Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Yuzvendra Chahal, with 17 wickets in 13 matches with a 4-wicket haul, is at number five.
