IPL 2022 Auction Live Day-2: Ishan Kishan remains costliest at Rs 15.25 cr

IPL Auction 2022 Live Day 2- Punjab get Liam Livingstone for Rs 11.5 cr, Odean Smith at Rs 6 cr. MI get Jofra Archer for 8 cr, Tim David at 8.25 cr

The second and final day of the Tata IPL 2022 Mega Auction has passed and in total 130 players were sold today to get the total number of players sold on Day 1 and Day 2 combined to 204.

Among those 204 players, India's Ishan Kishan was the costliest as he was bought at Rs 15.25 crore by Mumbai Indians on Day 1. Deepak Chahar and Shreyas Iyer were number two and three respectively in terms of money earned from the IPL Auction 2022. England's Liam Liam Livingstone was the costliest overseas player and he was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 11.5 cr 

Shreyas Iyer was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 12.25 crore while Chennai Super Kings bought Deepak Chahar for Rs 14 crore. One interesting buy at the Mega Auction was of Jofra Archer who went for Rs 8 crore and was bought by Mumbai Indians even as his availability for the 2022 season is doubtful.

IPL 2022 Auction Live Day 2: Thank You for tuning in

 

It has been two days of thrilling action at the IPL Mega Auction and it is still just the beginning of the TATA  IPL 2022 which is going to be an exciting prospect moving forward as it will be the first time that 10 teams will compete for the coveted trophy on the level playing field as all the teams came in the auction having secured what ver the best they could and are going out of the auction with whatever the best they could gather as well

 

So the wait will now be for many teams to announce their captains and thereafter for them to finalise their core 11 members and thereafter for the IPL 2022 to begin. Everybody will for now be buzzing with the names that have been sold at higher prices and murmurs would also be on for those who missed out

IPL 2022 Auction Live Day 2: Royals get big buys cheaply

 

On the final day of the Auctions, Liam Livingstone was the highest-earning player, getting Rs 11.5 crore from Punjab Kings while the second-highest-paid was Tim David of Singapore who was sold for Rs 8.25 crore only. In the second round of accelerated Auction, Rajasthan Royals went big and got big buys very cheaply. In total, they got Jimmy Neesham, Rassie van der Dussen and Daryl Mitchell together for only Rs 3.25 crore
