It was courtesy of their innings that the Capitals reached 207/3 in their 20 overs. Later on, Khaleel Ahmed and Mitchell Marsh with the ball picked crucial wickets to put the Sunrisers under all sorts of pressure and even after the second consecutive fifty by Pooran (62 off 34 balls), the Orange brigade fell short by 21 runs as other batters just weren't good enough on the day. 

This is now the third loss in a row for the Sunrisers after having tasted the high of five consecutive wins. With this win though, Delhi have strengthened their position to make a claim for the Playoffs with 10 points from the same number of games. They now have the same number of points as the Sunrisers and Punjab Kings
