GT vs PBKS Highlights The Punjab Kings were terrific in all three departments as they defeated the Punjab Kings by 8 wickets with 24 balls to spare to improve their net run rate and march to the fifth position in the IPL 2022 Points Table. Though Liam Livingstone played a blinder at the end, hitting 30* off just 10 balls to finish the game quickly, it was the knocks from Shikhar Dhawan (62* off 53 balls) and Bhanuka Rajapaksa (40 off 28 balls) that laid the foundation for the chase of 144.
Earlier in the evening, after winning the toss and surprisingly choosing to bowl first, Gujarat Tiutans could only reach up to 143/8 as the Punjab bowlers were all over them right from the start to the end of their innings. Sai Sudharsan was the lone Titans batter to get some momentum going as he scored his maiden IPL Fifty and it was thanks to his knock of 65* off 50 balls that Gujarat got to a fighting total.
Kagiso Rabada was the pick of the bowlers for Punjab as he finished with figures of 4-33 in his four overs.
