KKR vs SRH Highlights Andre Russell's all-round show in which he hit 28 ball 49* with the bat and took 3-22 with the ball, proved too much for Sunrisers Hyderabad as they were beaten by 54 runs by the Kolkata Knight Riders who now hold on to their hopes of making to the Playoffs in IPL 2022.
The chase by Sunrisers Hyderabad was nowhere near to the target as they wasted away their Powewerplay, making only 31 runs and losing the wicket of Kane Williamson as well. From there onwards, only Aiden Markram And Abhishek Sharma played some good shots in isolation.
But that was not going to take the team anywhere as the other batters simply failed and SRH could only muster to get up to 123/8 in their 20 overs, losing the match by a huge margin of 54 runs and also getting their net run rate in the negative, so much so that it just becomes impossible for them to qualify even if four teams end on 14 points with two spots left for the Playoffs.
KKR vs SRH Player of the Match: Andre Russell
There was no doubt in the fact that Andre Russell will be adjudged Player of the Match for his all-round show in the game. It was his hitting in the last over which got Kolkata to 178 and gave them a psychological boost going into the break. He hit 20 runs in the last over and ended up on 49* off just 28 balls. With the ball, he was right on the money and got the first SRH wicket by dismissing their Sklipper Williamson. By the end of the match, he finished with figures of 3-22 in his four overs.
