Kuldeep Sen was also might impressive with the ball as he removed Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell in two consecutive deliveries. He also took the last wicket to finish with 4-20 in his spell of 3.3 overs. Dinesh Karthik was run out in a dramatic fashion and the rest of the batters just couldn't cope with the spin of Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal. 

Earlier in the evening, after being asked to bat first, Rajasthan had two collapses, one at the top and one in the middle, and were struggling at 102-6 in the 16th over with only Riyan Parag left as a recognized batter. Parag was dropped by Hasaranga and he utilized the opportunity to score a brilliant fifty and take his team to 144-8 at the end of 20 overs.
