Pakistan vs Afghanistan Asia Cup 2022 Highlights
Naseem Shah hit two sixes in two balls of the last over when Pakistan needed 11 off 6 with 9 wickets down to chase 130 and relegate both India and Afghanistan out of the Asia Cup 2022.
Though 130 was never a challenging total, Pakistan did not look in control right from the beginning. At a time when Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan added 42 for the fourth wicket, things started to turn in Pakistan's favour. However, once that Partnership was broken, wickets fell at regular intervals and it came down to the last over with 11 needed off it.
Earlier in the evening, after being asked to bat first, Afghanistan had a great start as its openers added 36 for the first wicket. However, in the end, they could only score as much as 129/6 in their 20 overs.
PAK vs AFG Player of the Match: Shadab Khan
Shadab Khan has been named Player of the Match for his all-round performance in which he scored a crucial 36 off just 26 balls and also took 1-27 in his four overs.
The Pakistan skipper Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium against Mohammad Nabi-led Afghanistan.
