The journey that began on October 7 at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru, finally culminated with two exciting battles of Kabaddi in the Pro Kabaddi League 2022. Tonight, the Gujarat Giants, who beat Haryana Steelers in their last clash, took on U Mumba who were shocked by Bengaluru Bulls in a miraculous comeback story in their last game. 

In the last game of the night, Dabang Delhi KC, who lost their top-of-the-table position for a day to Jaipur Pink Panthers, and then regained it just before their next match thanks to Jaipur’s loss against Puneri Paltan, remained at the top in spite of a loss to Bengal Warriors. 

Dabang Delhi vs Bengal Warriors: Delhi lose again

Bengal Warriors, after taking a two-point lead in the first half, didn’t really look back and inflicted an all-out, the only one of the game in the second half and won the match 35-30 eventually. Now, courtesy of this win, they have entered the top six again even though they have equal points to U Mumba, but are far ahead in terms of score difference. 

For Bengal, it was the defenders as Girish Ernak and Vaibhav Garje both completed a high five and Maninder the top raider could get only nine points. For Delhi, the Naveen Express did get 10 raid points, but their defence wasn’t on par with that of Bengal. 

Gujarat Giants vs U Mumba: Mumba march in top six

Earlier tonight, the U Mumba side made sure that they give away nothing to the Gujarat Giants as they beat the opponents with a margin of more than seven points. The match ended at 37-29 in favour of Mumba. 

The stars for U Mumba were Guman Singh and Iranian Haiderali Ekrami in raiding who earned 11 and 10 points respectively in raiding. On the other hand, for Gujarat, only Rakesh could complete a Super 10.
