'Country to lead paradigm shift in semiconductors'

India Semiconductor Association's Vision Summit to be held on February 8-9, 2006 in Bangalore, will focus on 'The Triple Play of Design, Software and Manufacturing "" India leads the way for a new paradigm in semiconductors'.
 
This first business-focussed semiconductor event will be kicked off by Dayanidhi Maran, Union minister of Communication & IT and will be attended by some of the well known experts in the industry including Suhas Patel, eminent technologist and venture capitalist.
 
The recent ISA "" Frost & Sullivan reports have revealed exciting data about the Indian semiconductor industry, charted its growth potential and highlighted scope for development.
 
High profile global leaders will be heard at the event. Of special interest are country forums where success stories of countries like Singapore, Korea and China will be showcased.
 
"The first-ever business summit in the semiconductor space in India will lay the foundation for the rapidly-growing semiconductor industry. The conclave aims to provide insight into the opportunities for India," Anand Anandkumar, vice chairman "" India Semiconductor Association said as it is poised to be the next semiconductor hub in the global semiconductor arena."
 
Commenting on the Vision Summit, Anand Anandkumar, Vice Chairman - India Semiconductor Association said, "We hope to have this event as an important bookmark in the global semiconductor space. India is too important a market to be ignored; it deserves its position on the global semiconductor map", he added.
 
The Vision Summit 2006 will focus on how the interdependence of the three processes (design, software and manufacturing) will bring about fundamental shifts in business models, technology directions and collaborative strategies in the semiconductor space.
 
This theme is especially relevant in the Indian scenario as the country gears up to bring about the paradigm shift leveraging its competence in software, semiconductor design and developments in the manufacturing industry.
 
Academics, business strategists, CEOs, human resource professionals, marketing and business development heads, investors, market analysts and senior government officials will attend the event to explore the various opportunities that exist within this industry.
