India is shining in the digital world. As the country inches closer towards a trillion-dollar digital economy, smartphones powered by access to cheaper data have established themselves as the primary driver of digital adoption.

Digital adoption in the country is no longer limited to urban elite or English-speaking population, it has already spread to remote corners of the country where local language content is providing an unprecedented boost to this drive showing the ‘changing face of Indian mobile users’, according to a recent report by InMobi, a home-grown mobile ad-tech platform.

The report says that 90 per cent of India’s population will have mobile phones by 2022, while 65 per cent will use smartphones by 2025.
