Acer, the world's second largest personal computer maker, has tied-up with Reliance Communications, to launch a netbook which comes embedded with wireless broadband. Launched in Bangalore on Thursday, Aspire One532h, Acer’s latest netbook comes with in-built Reliance Netconnect Broadband Plus services with a capability of offering high speed connectivity of up to 3.1 Mbps across 66 Indian cities.
“The Indian market has been displaying a tremendous appetite for mobile connectivity in the form of netbooks and notebooks. This gets a further fillip with Acer’s embedded broadband netbook with a multitude of benefits such as longer battery-life, convenience, tighter integration, security and lower TCO,” S Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India.
Priced at '19,499 (taxes and levies extra), the Acer Aspire One532h comes with two months of complimentary usage of integrated and in-built Reliance NetConnect Broadband Plus worth '2,198. The netbook is capable of running rich media applications like video conferencing, video streaming, electronic surveillance, online multi-player games and heavy file transfers.
