Bharti Airtel announced on Wednesday the availability of its 3G services in Dharamsala, Manali and Mandi. This follows the recent launch of its 3G services in Shimla, Solan, Baddi and Parwanoo.
Dharamsala and Manali are popular tourist destinations with both domestic and foreign tourists.
Commenting on the launch, Shishir Kumar, CEO, upper north, said, “Having successfully launched in four cities of Himachal, we are now extending the same to three more cities.”
“Airtel customers in the state can now enjoy the next generation of mobile technology on their 3G compatible handsets that are available in the market for as low as Rs 3,500,” Kumar said.
He said Airtel 3G mobile customers in the country will now be able to leverage Airtel internet on 3G to make international video calls and interact face-to-face with colleagues and friends abroad.
