Only pre-registered users would be able to make purchases during this flash sale, Amazon said in a release.
Yureka, which has been launched with a Cyanogen operating system, will be available on Amazon.in from Tuesday until Saturday.
Learning a lesson from competitor Flipkart, whose website servers had crashed when it held a flash sale of Xiaomi Mi 3 mobile phones, Amazon.in said it has put in place several processes for the sale to ensure no glitches.
"As there was an unprecedented response and total number of registrations far exceeds the first stock of units available for sale, Amazon.in has put in place several processes for the flash sale including letting customers know the percentage of the total stock claimed at any point in time and activating the 'Waitlist' feature via their desktops to enable customers to join the waitlist and get an opportunity to buy a Yureka should any of the initial customers not buy the phone in the stipulated time period," Amazon.in said. "These processes have been placed to ensure that maximum number of users get a chance to buy the phone and have a seamless, transparent and smooth purchase experience."
