DQ Entertainment (International) Limited, an animation, game, art and entertainment company, has signed two exclusive broadcasting agreements for its 3D animated TV series — The Jungle Book.
The agreements were signed with Korea-based Education Broadcasting System (EBS), a broadcasting company, and Canada-based Tele-Quebec, a public educational television network.
EBS will have the television rights to broadcast the 52x11 minutes animated series in the Republic of Korea for three years and Tele-Quebec will have the television rights to broadcast this programme in French (also titled Le Livre De La Jungle in French) in Canada.
“EBS-free TV in Korea and Tele Quebec-free TV in French-speaking Canada have extensive reach in their respective regions, and we are delighted to work with these important strategic international partners to enhance the value of our Jungle Book franchise further,” Tapaas Chakravarti, chairman and chief executive of DQE, stated in a press release.
The enhanced visibility would add tremendous value to The Jungle Book 3D TV series and fuel consumer products, licensing and merchandising, publishing as well as home video entertainment deals, Chakravarti added.
