Aspire Career Development Academy (ACDA), a soft skills training provider, has announced the launch of SpeakIT suite, an American accent training software, for the Indian market.

The software was developed by US-based Teaching Machine Inc and ACDA will be the marketing agency in India.

Addressing a press conference P H Rao, chairman and managing director, CADA, said that SpeakIT was a tool to perfect oral English and improve reading proficiency. The software would focus mainly on pronunciation and help overcome problems in communicating in English, he added.

A company statement said that a 50-hours practice would enable any Indian with a reasonable knowledge of English to improve fluency in using English.

Chennai-based ACDA intends to market the product to call centres and to colleges and trainers.

Chandra Ramu, chief executive Teaching Machine Inc, said that the software would allow the users to create their own contents and report progress while training and testing.

"This is the key differentiator. No other software offers such features. The training software available in the market has pre-determined contents. SpeakIT can also be used as a personalised tutor," she added.

Priced at $140 per licence for a year, the product has already been launched in US and China.
