Software engineering services company Aztecsoft on Tuesday commenced work on its new IT special economic zone (SEZ) at Whitefield, Bangalore. It will operate as a global delivery centre for clients across verticals and geographies.Spread over 3.15 acre, the SEZ will have a built-up area of approximately 2,30,000 square feet, and will accommodate over 2,000 professionals. The new SEZ campus is expected to be fully operational in phases from October 2009, the company said in a statement to the BSE today.Aztecsoft CEO Samir Bodas said: "The SEZ is part of the strategic growth plan for the company. This will allow us to better serve our client base and support growth in all of our functional units."The SEZ will be an addition to the existing 1,200 seats in Bangalore. The company recently started operations at its 2,000 seat campus in Hinjewadi, Pune.
