Baazee.com India Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of eBay.com, plans to launch an online help tool for the benefit of its users in the next two to three months. |
Speaking to Business Standard, Samarjeet Singh, head of Baazee Academy, said, "We are getting the necessary IT requirements for the help tool, and we expect to launch it on our site in the next two to three months." |
According to him, the help tool would be based on a chat environment that would solve the problems of the users immediately. "We expect the tool to add more customers as well as sellers as any query would be resolved immediately," Singh said. |
At present, the portal has 2,500 categories and sub-categories of articles with around 75,000 products. Singh said that the portal currently has around one million users from 240 cities in the country. |
Baazee on Saturday organised the 'Baazee Academy', a platform for the potential sellers to learn about how to sell on the site. |
"Baazee Academy, being conducted across the country, aims at highlighting the entrepreneurship platform that the portal offers where a local seller can reach out to the buyers across the country," he said. |
Singh said that the academy has covered 11 cities in the last 12 months and plans to cover another 25 cities by the end of the calendar year. |
"We have two sessions in each of the city where the academy is conducted. In the first session, we inculcated the basic training on the concept of selling, while the techniques on how to sell and various other aspects were taught in the second session," he said. |
According to him, around 1,000 people attended the first round of training as compared to 700 in September 2004. |
