Bosch Rexroth India Ltd. is collaborating with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) for establishing a world class training centre on industrial drives and control technology in Bangalore. This will be third such training centre to be established in the world. |
VTU vice-chancellor K Balaveera Reddy announced this at a three-day training programme held from August 29 to August 31 on "Industrial hydraulics and pneumatics," organised for the faculty members of affiliated engineering colleges in the State. |

The VTU has introduced the subject for seventh semester mechanical engineering degree students. |

Bosch Rexroth and Motor Industries Co Ltd (MICO) jointly associated with the training programme conducted in Bangalore, according to a press release by VTU Registrar M S Shivakumar here. About 40 faculty members from various engineering colleges attended the programme. |

MICA joint managing director V K Viswanathan, who inaugurated the programme, appreciated the partnership of Bosch Rexroth and VTU and impressed upon the importance of the subject in the overall industrial growth of the country. |

With a view to develop university-industry interaction, Dr Reddy added that VTU has entered into MoUs with leading global organisations like Microsoft, IBM, Ingersoll-Rand (India) Ltd, Bangalore, UGS, and Sun Microsystems. |
