Venkat Raghavan is the new senior VP of R&D at Blue Coat Systems which provides proactive, intelligent security for any user on any device in any location, protecting against malicious attacks even before they are mounted by cybercriminals.
As the head of R&D, Raghavan, an MS in Computer Science from Clemson University and an MBA in marketing from George Washington University, is responsible for constantly filling the arsenal of the web security solutions provider, which counts over 85 per cent of the Fortune and Global 500 companies as its customers
For someone who was previously heading engineering and development for IBM’s Internet Security Systems portfolio, Raghavan knows that the web security environment is dynamic by nature.
