California Software Company Ltd (Calsoft) has announced that it has joined Microsoft's windows embedded partner program to expand windows embedded software development services and solutions to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

A company statement said that Calsoft would be offering embedded software development solutions to OEMs through its wholly-owned subsidiary California Software Labs (CSWL Inc), which is engaged in providing such software development services.

The company's membership in the windows embedded partner program is expected to enable CSWL Inc to offer its services to a broader range of OEMs on a global scale.

Calsoft has been providing outsourced embedded software development services on platforms like Microsoft Windows CE and Pocket PC, to technology firms.

"Our presence in the US market for over a decade, combined with our offshore development centres, make us an ideal choice for windows embedded software development. This partnership will broaden our reach and open doors to new areas," J K Nair, executive vice-president and chief operating officer, Calsoft, said.

CSWL is also an Adobe Flash Player licencee and a Phoenix Technologies Trusted Alliance partner.
